About Theta at Michigan State University

Kappa Alpha Theta is an organization that enables women to develop their confidence and leadership skills. “Leading Women” is the tag line for Kappa Alpha Theta and it is something that the members of the Beta Pi chapter at Michigan State University are always hoping to embody. Theta women pride themselves on their scholarship, commitment to service, and the friendships that they form as a member of the sorority. Kappa Alpha Theta creates an environment where women are encouraged to bring out the best qualities in one another. The women of Kappa Alpha Theta are leaders whether they hold a position or not through their words and actions in the community, on campus, and in their lives as a whole. With the academic goals set by the chapter, the participation in Michigan State’s philanthropy events, and the involvement with our universal Theta philanthropies; CASA, The Theta Foundation, and The Friendship Fund members are given the opportunity to grow as individuals. Being a member of Kappa Alpha Theta means friends for life, experiences of a lifetime, and the opportunity to connect with people all over the world.

As president, it is amazing to see the impact that the Beta Pi chapter has had on the student body as whole and the greater community. Our chapter is incredibly diverse which expands the amount of campus involvement enabling us to have versatility in the greater community. I am so grateful to be surrounded with women who always strive to reach their highest goals and whose values align with my own. It is almost inexplicable how strong my friendships are with the other members of Kappa Alpha Theta. They are my sisters and my home away from home. Kappa Alpha Theta truly has given so much to me and I am proud to be a part of it. I am so excited to see what the future holds for the members of Kappa Alpha Theta.
